Artist's Comments

It's kinda hard to write a description for this drawing since it represents a lot of different, mostly contradictory concepts.
The basic idea is about this person missing out on something that is happening all around her, while she's standing there waiting for it to happen. However, we don't know how she's gotten there and why she choses to stay there, if she's been given a choice at all.

- Conté pencil, Ivory Black pencil and graphite powder on paper
- 42 x 30 cm (A3)
- about 30 hours

Thanks for looking, and hope you like it.

I'm impressed... sometimes I wonder if somebody else would ever say so about my drawings... but it's only my dream... :(

Said Hamlet to Ophelia,
I'll draw a sketch of thee,
What kind of pencil shall I use?

A very lovely peice.
Those blades of grass must have taken a good while?!
There is really nothing to not like about this peice, the amount of detail in all of it is just amazing! Those textures! There is nothing that the eye cannot appreciate in it.
Great work. ^^
