i was about to begin with another drawing when i found the ref. picture of this. i liked it a lot, specially the simplicity of it, so i thought i'd give it a shot.
so here it is, a simple drawing with no name. any suggestions?

Pablo (Caran d'Ache) coloured pencils
Lana (Winsor & Newton) white drawing paper
30 x 14 cm

hope you like it

I seriously thought that this was a photograph... perhaps you could entitle it 'Ivy' or 'Silent Beauty'. Just a few suggestions.

The use of light is amazing

hmm.... maybe "Shock of Red" might work.... since, in the lighting of the drawing kind of makes it look like only that small part of her hair is red, so it's like having a shock of red hair on brown hair.... or something like that.... Great job, by the way, just like the rest of your gallery *_*

Oh my gosh, thats soo good. Excellent use of colour. The look of the skin is so detailed, the eyes look so life like. At first glance, i mistook this work of art for a photgraph. Anyways . .well done!!!

Very nice, I too like the simplicity. How about "Lana" for a title (after the paper :) ).

I'm so impressed by what people can do with colored pencils... I'm starting to work with Prismacolor pencils myself. Have you ever used those?

Prachtige tekening!
Maar als ik zo naar die pupil kijk, dan zie ik em niet precies in het midden van de iris staan.
Dat geeft het een beetje een raar effect vind ik.
Maar voor de rest is het gewoon perfect hoor ;)

your artistry is incredible. i encourage you to continue. the hair's texture is so close to real, one might want to reach out and brush it away from her left eye.

The toning is unreal. Something as a grey toned artist can only hope to come to understand. Grats!

Honest2481 Featured By Owner Oct 29, 2005  Hobbyist General Artist
Such a photolike quality to the drawing, it's incredible! Absolutely amazing that you can manipulate color pencils that well. Not that I didn't believe it's not a photo, but the WIP makes it even more impressive that it *really* is color pencil. ::favs::
outsider99 Featured By Owner Oct 24, 2005
Absolutely beautiful as usual. Drawn to perfection. And I especially love the detail with her skin suchas the tone imperfections. How about callling this work "Hidden." I think this girl is hiding in a closet or some sort, and she leaves the door open just a little to let the light in and take a peak. What does she see?

ok for some reason this never showed up in my dev watch, but i love it

i honsetly can never tell your work aprt from photos- it's not just your teqnique, but your abilty to make a drawing that is truely alive-and hat is the real feat- teqnique can belearned- but that level of observation takes a special mindset.

Gah! PERFECT! emotional... call it "running from colour" \

.... coz it looks like she's running from the colour, and it sorta sounds like "running for cover"

bah i dunno :P thouhgt it was cool!

But dear god this drawing's amazing!!!

wow... its perfectly done, everything's perfect!

It was a perfect ref also, I love it so much. And you did it so well! I cant believe is a drawing. At first I actually rubbed my eyes.

About the name I would put a word maybe discribing how she's feeling, for example lonlyness, sadness... or just glance.. or waiting for you to come back.. I dunno, something like that, but that you feel she's feeling. When you look at it... what do u think? what you think she's feeling? that should be the name.

Though if u want to leave it untitled, is cool too. ;p
